Olivier Jobard - Sipa Press

OLIVIER JOBARD PHOTOGRAPHER

Born on 20th May 1970
Olivier Jobard, photographer at Sipa Press since 1992, specialises in immigration issues.
In 2004, he followed Kingsley’s clandestine route from Cameroun to France, producing a photographic documentary of the real conditions experienced by a migrant on his human odyssey.
Presented at the annual photo festival in Arles, his work was hailed by the press and became the subject of a book published by Editions Marval (2006).
In this exhibition produced by Doctors of the World, Olivier Jobard presents the next part of his documentary, which this time focuses on the reception conditions of migrants in Europe. From the Ukraine to Poland, Turkey to Greece, Libya to the island of Lampedusa, he set out to encounter these men and women on the road to a European "Eden".
In supporting Olivier Jobard's work, Sipa Press is faithful to its mission of photo-journalism: reporting on major news subjects.
